Slag

Casting Powder contains low melting constituents which instantly generate liquid slag which penetrates into the gap between the mould and the solidifying shell of the billet. Casting Powder is added in small amounts and continuously over the casting duration. The melting of the Casting Powder occurs slowly in layers. Hence, the top surface of the liquid metal in the billet / slab / bloom always remains protected from the atmosphere.

Refining Slag is a new auxiliary material of steel making  that developed by our company to meet the requirement of low-sulphur stel. I t was melted from many kinds of material by electric furnace in high temperature that makes out the calcium aluminates, which mainly includes 7Al₂O₃ and 12Cao in more than 90%, and their activity coefficient is more than 70. The product has the following features: quick melted, high activity degree, quick speed of slag making, early appearing of white slag, high degree of fluidity after being melted, large quantity of offspring of deoxidation and desulphurization in molten steel can be absorbed, refining time can be shortened, and cost of steel making can be decreased. With all the above features, the harmful impurity in molten steel can be reduced and the component in molten steel can be purified.

Method of use

1. Added with flow of steel when rapping

2. Or added when position of refining furnace is measured

3. Or added according to technology.
