One part is AOD furnace tuyere, the reasons are as follows.
First,
air enters the furnace from side gas blower gun will scour the refractories lining
seriously during the process of falling down. Therefore, the area over the
tuyere is eroded heavily.
Second,
tuyere part is in the center of carbon oxygen reaction area whose temperature
is very high( some part can reach 1700-1800℃), so the tuyere part is seriously eroded.
Third,
the tuyere is at the lateral part of furnace bottom, bears much mechanical
static pressure, easily to be eroded.
2.
One part is the side of tapping.
Because
the iron add hole and tapping hole are at the same side, so the tapping side is
less eroded, the erosion is mainly created by molten steel’s scouring. In
addition, deflection of top lance also affects the erosion.
